(Week 18) Monday, June 6th
Dear Turnip,
Yes, I know, being the weight of a turnip is kind of exciting. Granted there is no solid belly showing just yet. In the mornings I can still squeeze into my pants, but then the afternoon hits and I wish I had worn sweats to work. Some days you stick way out and everyone can see you, and some days you hide away, but I always know you are there.
Well today was a bit of an adventure for you and I. Today we came to work with breakfast and no snacks. I know, not well planned on my part, but I thought I would be able to sneak away around ten and go grab something. Work made that impossible. Two more hours ticked away and you were getting impatient with me. Finally I got my morning work done and was able to get out of dodge. Unfortunately it had been a little too long. The hunger combined with the midday heat did not bode well. I got in the car and realized that if I didn’t stop ASAP something bad was going to happen. I had to eat. I was probably on the verge of passing out, though I have never been subject to the feeling before.
We whipped into Wendy’s and had to wait in line for an eternity. Finally I got my food and immediately sat down. I wolfed down a large fry, a JBC, and a medium frosty in no time flat. Then I just waited, making sure that strange feeling in my head and limp limbs went away. Luckily it did, but phew that was close. Consider this lesson learned, breakfast plus snacks is what will get me through to lunch. Mental note signed, sealed, delivered to the front of my brain.
So there you have it, our Monday adventure together. The rest of the day was fine. We actually picked up some things to munch on and there were no more problems. I’ll write again soon.
Love you,
Mama
Cravings: Dried banana chips.
Sickenings: Going longer than four hours without food.
